A great day out! First visit to beautiful sunken gardens with ponds and lovely walks. House tour very informative. The Coach House was a great place for a coffee stop on arrival and a cream tea before leaving! Lovely friendly staff. Also a little gift shop. Plenty of parking. Will go again.

A lovely haven of peace in the well kept gardens,a variety of flowers, shrubs and box trees beautifully maintained. The history, furniture, portrait paintings by old masters of family lineage who were previous owners of the lands and house were brought to life by a superb narration given by our guide, Isobel. Thank you, I enjoyed a truly interesting and enjoyable visit. House, gardens and cafe well worth a visit. Beanie

Very interesting tour of house. Nice gardens to walk around. Cafe and staff were lovely. Shop assistant was a little officious and sour faced. If she had been a little nicer, I would have bought something.

Wonderful place to visit We arrived and booked our tour of the house at 1 We then had a lovely pot of tea in the cafe. When we finished that we had time to start a look around the Gardens ( absolutely amazing) 1 came and we headed for our tour of the house, very informative! After we carried on with the rest of the Gardens ( although you definitely need to get there early to be able to experience all the Gardens) Later we finished the day with a Cream Tea ( Mmm)

Lovely place, gardens are beautiful, the story of the house, fascinating. We had a guided tour, the person who talked us through the story knew their stuff and obviously loved the place.
